5 Things I Need Right Now
By this time of year it can feel as though you’ve been pushed, pulled and dragged in lots of different directions. For most of us, life’s been busy, emotional, tiring and full.
I want to take a breather, pause and make space for my needs to be met and my cup to be refilled.
So, I’ve been thinking about what I need most right now.
Here are 5 things that come to mind.
1. Freedom
Freedom to stop watching the clock, freedom to connect in unhurried ways, freedom to linger and do nothing, and freedom to let go of expectations (my own and those of others).
2. A Break From ‘Doing’
A shift from being task oriented to enjoying things that don’t have a concrete outcome or purpose. (A break from lists!)
3. A Change
A change of scenery, a change of routine, a change of pace, and a change from being mentally active to physically active (or vice versa, depending on what feels out of balance).
4. A Chance to Process
A chance to reflect, and to feel and acknowledge things I haven’t had space to process during the year.
5. Clarity and Direction
When I make room for these needs above to be met, it usually creates space for much needed clarity, direction and new perspectives and insights to emerge.
Whatever it is that you need, I encourage you to seek it out before we run headlong into the end of the year.
Make space for the things that allow you to flourish and be your best self right now.
